Different Hues of Green – Green Stormwater from Cities to Wide Open Spaces
February 9 @ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm

Green Stormwater Infrastructure has many definitions, many forms, and myriad benefits – all highly dependent on a given project’s setting and context. Fitting GSI into existing communities requires collaboration between a variety of disciplines, stakeholders and funding sources. While this can seem daunting, GSI projects that have been successfully completed across North Carolina are strengthening community resilience, environmental protection and connecting people with nature. This presentation will highlight multiple GSI case studies – from urban architecture to rural conservation – and discuss how the benefits of each project far outweigh the challenges faced during design, permitting, and implementation.
