North Carolina’s Water Resources Research Institute is accepting applications for the coordinator of research and engagement.
Based at NC State University in Raleigh, the coordinator will work directly with the WRRI management team to formulate, implement and coordinate all WRRI funding opportunities. The selected candidate also will help plan engagement activities, such as the annual conference, and be the program lead for two consortiums, as well as an advisory committee. Another key role is to ensure that WRRI meets all reporting requirements to the University of North Carolina System, NC State University and the U.S. Geological Survey.
“This is a key position on our team,” notes Susan White, NC WRRI director. “We are looking for a pool of candidates that reflects our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion across our program.”
The position requires a master’s degree and at least three years of experience after an advanced degree. Work experience should include water or other natural resource management, land-use planning, research administration, extension, environmental policy and/or environmental education/communications.
