The Community Collaborative Research Grant Program, or CCRG, is an innovative funding opportunity that requires research approaches that couple local knowledge with scientific expertise. The CCRG is supported by WRRI and North Carolina Sea Grant, in partnership with the William R. Kenan Jr. Institute for Engineering, Technology and Science (KIETS).

This opportunity requires a local knowledge expert and scientific lead. Submitted proposals also should align with WRRI, North Carolina Sea Grant, and KIETS’ strategic plans.

Funding is available for one year projects, and awards will range between $5,000-$25,000. Full details on eligibility and application requirements are included in the Request for Proposals (RFP). The anticipated start date is May 15, 2025.
