Center of Excellence for Watershed Management
The Center for Excellence in Watershed Management (CEWM) was an EPA program with a formal MOU between WRRI, NC State, EPA Region 4, and the NC DEQ Division of Water Resources in 2010 to support local watershed management across NC. While the formal MOU has expired, it led to the creation of the NC Watershed Stewardship Network and an enduring partnership for supporting local watersheds across NC.
Burnt Mill Creek Watershed Initiative
WRRI collaborated on watershed improvement projects to improve Burnt Mill Creek in the Lower Cape Fear Watershed.
